An article by the Marketing Pilgrim reported a recent study by ClickZ and Kelly Services for the Online Marketing Institute called “The State of Digital Marketing Talent,” which examines the gap between the impossible standard for applicants digital marketing professional applicants to have versus what can be realistically expected from them.
The gap in various digital media and marketing platforms such as content marketing, social media, email marketing have reached a talent gap as wide as 27%. Mobile marketing has a gap of 29%, while web analytics has a talent gap as wide as 37%.
