Icy Chill

My name is Sailesh (Icy Chill). I’m a rapper, actor and investor (born July 15, 1988).

I was born in West London, U.K, I began acting when I was 12. I would go to drama school on Saturday’s with my elder brother where we studied performing arts. I began rapping at the age of 15 following the death of my father. My mother died when I was aged 9 moreover making myself and my brother orphans.

I was thrown into adolescence with no parents and no money. I really got into hip hop music it was a great thing to relate to. Being forced to grow up quickly I learnt to face problems because I had no where to run to. I was living a completely different life to people my own age. When the other guys were doing the usual teenage happenings. I was thinking about money, hip hop and whether I would have a roof over my head. They were the only matters that were relevant to me in life. I was always average academically but life really beat alot out of me and I learnt alot out side in the real world more than I did in school. Those times were very hard but hip hop gave something which I could relate to deeply and it galvanised me forward for later parts of my life.

I acted in my first short film ‘Layed On’ in 2005. At the age of 17 I recorded my song’s ‘Bad Boy Lovin’’ and ‘My Beautiful Senorita’ which followed with music video’s. ‘Bad Boy Lovin’’ was shot in London when I was 18 and ‘Beautiful Senorita’ was filmed in Chiang Mai, Thailand when I was 19.

In 2008 I moved to Chiang Mai. I recorded my song ‘Give Me back my 100%’ in response in the financial collapse of an Icelandic Bank that I had savings in. In this song I attacked politicians and fat cats involved in the collapse. People from U.K supported my song. It was popular in Guernsey. It was played on BBC Radio Guernsey several times. The song wasn’t aimed at the Icelandic people but they didn’t take to kindly to it.

In 2010 I recorded my song “Darkness’ and shot the music video in 2011. In 2012 I recorded ‘CNX Girl’ and shot the music video for it that same year. After the success of ‘CNX GIRL’ on You Tube. I decided to work on my album ‘Encounter at Farpoint.’
